Input - Feed

To ensure accuracy, it is crucial the farm enters the net daily average feed per cow, per group, for a set week (as defined by the date range in the input window).

Note: The Net Daily Average values must be entered the day before the Update Day. If you do not have a full day of data for the last day before the update day, use the average for the last 24-hour period for the final day. This way you can still enter data for a full 7-day period.

Note: Best accuracy is achieved by consistent, weekly input of the net values. If no value is entered, the last value that was added is automatically used; this may affect accuracy. If there is no previous value, a default value (55 Lb / 25 kg) is applied.

Feed values must be entered each week on the last day before the update day. Each Update Day the data is used for calculation and is automatically removed from view. The Last feed delivery input update indicates the last time the values were updated.

In the example below, a cow in group Milk 1, ate an average 25 kg per day for the week of 08/07/2025-14/07/2025. This was the last recorded feed input.

Note: It is the farm's responsibility to subtract residual feed to achieve increased accuracy.

Additional Information

The Update Day marks the next date when all FE report data is calculated and updated based on the values entered. All values must be entered by the end of the previous day to be taken into consideration.

Update Day Default = Monday. The update day can be changed in the Feed Efficiency Parameters window, under Feed Delivery.
